Polyurethane
Polyurethane - PolyTAN
PolyTAN is a polyurethane elastomer with exceptional flexibility, abrasion resistance, and tear strength even at high loads.
Advantages of PolyTAN:
- abrasion resistance
- high mechanical resistance
- keeps its shape even after multiple mechanical loads
- various hardness modifications
- chemical resistance
- good machinability
- possibility of metal casting or casting engineering plastics (bandages, sprockets)
- operating temperatures from – 30 °C to + 80 °C, for short periods up to + 120 °C
PolyTAN properties
PolyTAN has very good physical and mechanical characteristics and high stability and petrol, mineral oils, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and ozone resistance. It also has high structural strength and abrasion resistance, which together with its damping properties make it an excellent material for many uses. Download PolyTAN Catalogue

The resistance to oils and petrol and the high structural strength of both types are nearly identical. PolyTAN 15 has greater resistance to permanent deformation than PolyTAN 44, and is therefore particularly suitable for travelling wheels, transport pulleys and highly stressed parts.
Using PolyTAN material provides the following opportunities and advantages:
As the PolyTAN polyurethane elastomers – have very good strength properties, they are resistant to mineral oils and petrol, they have high abrasion resistance and they have very good damping properties – this all makes them an excellent material for many uses such as:
- sealing
- packing
- cuffs
- machine pads
- flexible coupling
- dampening stops
- cylinder coverings
- pressure rollers
- covers of casters for high loads and slow speeds
- lining hoppers in construction and metallurgy
- lining mixers of concrete and mortar mixtures
- spatulas and lining mouldsin the construction industry
- wiper bladesfor snow ploughs
- circulating belts for shunting and combing machines etc.
All of these products can be used at temperatures range - 30 °C to + 80 °C (continuous operation) and for a short period (up to 4 hours) up to +120 ° C. The material is destroyed at a temperature above +160 °C.
